The Effenaar aftermath.

The show at the Effenaar was a success. The DJ played our song (Bare your Teeth Christ, Asbury Heights) when I plugged in

my stuff and I suddenly knew that this show would be good. And it was. It had everything: The long breaks we love, weird stage props, hands in the air, the lack of deepness, the right people in the crowd and even some wodka. We saw a splendid future for us in the obscure germanic sub-genre when we took a look into the giant disco balls of GOD. Besides that, we still totally confide in our current work as our new tracks seem to function really well on live audiences. We hope that will translate to the clubs.

EDIT: This time we somewhat forgot to say thank you. We do now:

Mr. Gaasbeek for connecting everything, Marilot for outstanding kindness, Frank for being very organised, the Higgs Foton for the right musical ambience, Wim for the CDs, Isa,Benjamin,Pieter and the rest from XMH for being an amazing opener, Wendy, Hans, Jenn, the other Jenn, Michael, Kelly, Rianne and the rest of the connection for showing up. We forgot someone. We always do. but we are ignorant anyway.

And we would like to thank nandoo for this amazing flickrset.

Loved the show last week in the Effenaar. Pitty there were less people than normally. To whomever that wasn’t there: you definitely missed some great shows.

I just couldn’t stop laughing when I read this:

“The DJ played our song (Bare your Teeth Christ, Asbury Heights) when I plugged in my stuff and I suddenly knew that this show would be good.”

Me and my boyfriend had some puzzeled looks about the rather strange song that the DJ played. Rather abruptly as well. We thought the DJ had a bit of an off day perhaps. It didn’t make sense. But now it does. Thank you 🙂
